Equine Foundational Certification

Becoming an IET Certified Equine Foundational Practitioner places you on a fast track to becoming an elite equine therapist, equipped with the tools to make a real impact in the lives of horses. As a practitioner, you will carry forward decades of IET’s refined techniques and methodologies, addressing each horse as a whole, restoring balance, and promoting true healing.

Certification Requirements

Complete a total of six (6) Case Studies with at least two (2) horses.

Complete a 10-15-minute videotaped session with a horse using the techniques learned in the course.

Teach Assist at one of the IET FT Courses. If unable to teach assist at a course, we can work together to make alternative arrangements.

Once the above is completed, contact us for a final Practicum.

The Practicum shall include a written, verbal, and hands on testing.

If you are able to Attend An IET Foundational Techniques Course as a Teaching Assistant, and time allows, it may be possible to test for your (IET FT) Certification Practicum during an (IET FT) Course. If this is the case, this MUST, be confirmed by Tom, 90 days prior to the Course.

If you are unable to Attend An (IET FT) as a Teaching Assistant, then you will need to schedule a time with Tom ( Please plan ahead for this step, as there may be limited dates and times available for  this appointment) to present your Practicum Over Zoom.

You will need to make sure that you have access to internet and your horse

Tom will evaluate your horse handeling skills and your techniques and understanding of (IET FT) Techniques taught in the courses.

Students who have satisfactorily completed all necessary requirements listed above will earn their Certification and become a IET Certified Equine Foundational Practitioner after passing the Final Practicum.

Students are able to enroll in this certification program at the same time they register to attend the Foundational Course, or they can enroll at a later date.
